Michelle Vitale

The start of the 2016- 2017 school year will mark the beginning of my 13th year as an Early Childhood Educator and my 2nd year at PS 349! I hold a strong belief that early education provides a foundation for future learning and creates positive and productive citizens. As many other educators do, I believe that early childhood has a positive impact on their academic and social skills, as well as prepare them for college and career readiness.

Prior to becoming a teacher I conducted my studies at Hunter College where I obtained my bachelor’s degree Childhood Education and my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with the Universal Prekindergarten Program; now know as New York City’s Pre-k for All Program, since 2004. I have worked in the Bronx and in Queens. I am also a native Queens resident. I speak Italian and Spanish.

I look forward to continue working with PS 349 with my future students, parents, and staff. I am excited to meet you and my new students. It will be a great year, with lots of new experiences, growth, and knowledge for students, teachers, and parents alike! Let’s have a great school year! Happy 2016 – 2017!
